Rental & Deposit Terms

These terms apply to all costume, jewellery and prop rentals from Ahaskaraa. By submitting a booking request you agree to them. (This is a plain-language summary, not legal advice; final terms are confirmed at pickup.)

1. Bookings

  • A booking request is an enquiry. Your rental is confirmed only once we confirm availability and dates with you (usually over WhatsApp).
  • Rental is charged per day. Rental days are counted from the agreed pickup date to the agreed return date, inclusive.

2. Payment

  • Payment is cash or UPI at pickup. We do not collect card payments online.
  • The rental amount and the refundable security deposit are both due at pickup unless agreed otherwise.

3. Security deposit

  • A refundable security deposit is collected at pickup. The amount is shown on each item.
  • The deposit is returned within 3-7 days after the item is returned and inspected.
  • Deductions are made only for damage beyond normal wear, missing pieces, or late/non-return (see below).

4. Condition, damage & late return

  • Items are handed over in good condition; we document condition at handover and return.
  • Normal wear (light creasing, minor cleaning) is expected and not charged.
  • Stains, tears, missing pieces or damage may be deducted from the deposit at repair/replacement cost.
  • Late returns may incur additional per-day rental until the item is returned.

5. Care

  • Do not wash silk costumes or jewellery yourself. Return them as-is; we handle cleaning.
  • Keep jewellery in the box provided and return all pieces together.
