Garba vs Dandiya: What's the Difference in Outfits?
Garba and Dandiya are different dances with slightly different outfits. Here's what to wear for each during Navratri.
Garba is a graceful circular dance done with claps and hand movements; Dandiya (raas) is done with sticks. Women wear a chaniya choli (mirror-work skirt, blouse and dupatta) for both, while men wear a kediyu (short flared top) with dhoti or churidar. The outfits overlap, so one set works for both — Dandiya outfits are often a little more movement-friendly.

Garba

Dandiya Raas
